Headquarters:
The headquarters and Office of the Union shall be “The Presidents Room”, Dale College High School, Queens Road, King William’s Town.
Objects of the Old Dalian Union:
1) To promote goodwill and fellowship between Old Dalians.
2) To maintain the Honour and Traditions of Dale College.
3) To establish branches in other areas of South Africa and elsewhere in the world.
4) To promote the interest and welfare of Dale College and Dale Junior Schools.
Membership:
The members of the Union shall consist of past pupils, past and present teachers of Dale College and Dale Junior and any other person nominated, which nomination must be approved by the Executive Committee.
The Union shall consist of the following categories of persons:
1) Life Member – Awarded to any one of the aforesaid members, provided the joining fee and the annual subscription fee is paid.
2) Branch membership – Any Life Member may become a member of a bonafide branch of the Union.
3) Honorary Life Presidents – All past National Presidents of the Union qualify as Honorary Life Vice-Presidents.
Management of the Union:
The Union shall be managed by an Executive Committee, consisting of the following:
a) The President – elected for a term of office of at least one year, but not more than two.
b) Two Vice-Presidents – a Senior and a Junior Vice-President.
c) The Chairman and/or representative of each branch of the Union.
d) The Honorary Secretary and the Honorary Treasurer.
e) Nine ordinary members, seven of whom should, but not necessarily, be resident in King William’s Town.
f) The Headmasters of Dale College and Dale Junior School.
All members of the Executive Committee shall remain in office for the period from the A.G.M., where they elected, until the next A.G.M. the following calendar year.
